Side by Side is for adults aged 18 or older. By starting, you confirm you meet this requirement and agree to these terms and the community guidelines.

Using the service

Conversations are random and temporary. Participation is voluntary; either person can end a conversation without explanation. Do not use the service for unlawful conduct, harassment, exploitation, sexual content, scams, or automated abuse.

Do not impersonate others, bypass restrictions, probe another person’s identity, or attempt to access conversations you were not assigned to.

Know the limits

We cannot guarantee who you will meet, continuous availability, message delivery, or another person’s behavior. Guest identities provide limited abuse resistance and can be recreated. Reports are stored for operator review; submission does not guarantee an immediate response or automatic ban.

Do not rely on Side by Side for emergency assistance. Do not share sensitive personal information. Participants may capture content outside our control, and direct video connections may reveal network addresses.

Restrictions

Operators may review reports and restrict or ban guest identities for violating the guidelines. Leaving or blocking immediately ends your current conversation. Blocks apply to the existing guest identities and do not reliably identify the same person after they create a new identity.
